Consulting. Education. Encounter. (formerly „Beratungsstelle des ZSL“) is a service of the ZSL e.V. financed by the Offenen Behindertenarbeit (OBA).
Qualified consultants who are committed to improving the living conditions of people with disabilities in Erlangen and the surrounding area in a variety of ways.

That's what we stand for...

  • We are committed to ensuring that people with disabilities are accepted in their diversity in society and that disability is perceived and recognized as part of human normality and diversity.
  • We are committed to ensuring that all services in the social area can be used by people with disabilities.
  • We want to give a voice to people whose legitimate concerns are often ignored. All the successes of inclusion must not obscure the fact that processes and mechanisms of exclusion still exist.
  • We see it as our task to take a differentiated view of these processes and to influence them in the interests of people with disabilities.
  • Our social and political representation of interests in networks and committees, vis-à-vis political parties and the local administration aims to ensure equal participation of people with disabilities in all areas of life. Our demand is the creation of appropriate framework conditions in order to achieve this goal.

This is how we work...

... for people with disabilities
We support people with disabilities in perceiving and representing their own interests and in finding and implementing solutions to their own individual situation. Counseling is low-threshold, confidential and impartial in the interests of the disabled person.

... for relatives, schools, employers, institutions and organizations
We also advise relatives, schools, employers, institutions and organizations that have questions about disability. We are also heavily involved in public relations and networking work in order to raise awareness of the life situations of people with disabilities, to sensitize the public to the concerns of people with disabilities and to bring about real change.

... for education and encounters
We create educational programs and opportunities for encounters that are open to all people or serve as a forum for exchange between those affected on a specific topic.

... for volunteers
We support and accompany people with and without disabilities who would like to volunteer.

... for interns
We offer internships, for example for disabled trainees in administration or for disabled and non-disabled students of social work.

We offer people with disabilities, relatives and institutions social advice on all aspects of disability.

Education.

We organize - partly with cooperation partners - educational offers on a wide range of topics.

... for schools, companies, restaurants etc.

With our „Change of perspective“ workshop, we provide information about the life situations of people with disabilities and raise public awareness of the issue.

Encounter.

We offer numerous different events where people with and without disabilities can come together. Here you can make new friends, get to know interesting people, find out about various topics or simply have a good time with others, be creative, eat and laugh together.
