School and inclusion support

Enabling participation, promoting self-determination - right from the start.

About us

School and inclusion support serves to support children and pupils with special needs in order to enable them to participate in lessons as independently and successfully as possible and to promote social inclusion. It is a Social law support within the framework of integration assistance.

Our target group

 Children and young people,

  • who have an (impending) physical or mental disability or a multiple disability (according to § 99 SGB IX), or

  • who have an (impending) mental disability or who are at risk of a mental disability (in accordance with Section 35a SGB VIII).

They receive individual support - in kindergarten as well as at school - if they need temporary or permanent assistance in order to participate in everyday life and fulfill their educational or school obligations. The prerequisite is that this assistance is not already covered by the institution itself or the respective provider. The aim of the support is to promote participation and the greatest possible independence of the children and young people.

Our tasks and goals

  • Individual support for children and young people according to their needs.

  • Support in everyday kindergarten and school life, e.g. in organizing tasks and overcoming barriers (e.g. motor or language challenges).

  • Ensuring equal participation in education and social life

  • Promoting social integration and independence

Good school and inclusion support only works as a team - with children and young people, parents, nurseries and schools and, if necessary, therapists.

Application and assumption of costs

School and inclusion support is usually applied for and financed by the responsible organizations - depending on the type of disability, e.g. via integration assistance or (in the case of mental disabilities) via the youth welfare office.

We will be happy to help you clarify the next steps and contacts.
